I broke and went back to Best Buy and got the Sublime: Gold cd. Basically, yeah, it's hot. I guess that's one thing I can thank Drake for: introducing me to this band, which I absolutely love. I really think "Santeria" is my fave Sublime song, but then I also love "Waiting For My Ruca", and of course "40 Oz to Freedom". But I also secretly think "Date Rape" is kind of funny, seeing as how the guy ends up being someone's bitch in prison, thus getting what he deserves.
I felt I didn't do the new Julie Roberts cd proper justice when I said is was so great in my last post. It's beyond great. It's fucking awesome. Her voice is amazing. There are few female singers I really like, and she's one of them. I'll post some of the lyrics shortly, but dear lord, the album is so good. I can't decide which I like best - "Smile", "Men and Mascara", "First to Never Know" and "Chasin' Whiskey" are my faves I think, though "Wake Up Older" from her first album may still be her best song ever. I don't know, because "Break Down Here" from the same album was also pretty fucking sweet. It's kind of fitting her first cd got me through the break up with Adam, and now this is the one I've got for this one with Drake. However, as you can see by my last post, perhaps the cd should have been out two months ago because, as I said, that corner has been turned. Don't get me wrong, I am sure there will still be bad days, but not like they were. I pretty much feel like a new person almost, though my apathy level is still pretty high. I love my friends and obviously care about them, but to everyone else, right now I pretty much don't give a fuck. I probably should work on that still, regardless of the new feeling of good I have.
Here are a few of the songs from the cd, but you definitely need to buy it, I command all of you. Or at least download them, though she is one of the few artists I actually refuse to dl music from - she deserves every penny she makes, because she is that fucking awesome.
